Microsoft just released a brand new Windows 11 build for users signed up for the Beta channel of the Windows Insider program, and unsurprisingly, the main focus is mostly on polishing the experience with the operating system.
This will make total sense given Windows 11 is just around the corner, with Microsoft also confirming that build 22000.194 includes a lot of modern updates for the apps coming pre-loaded using the OS.
"We are beginning to rollout updates for several apps that come included included in Windows 11 to Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel. Today's rollout includes the following app updates: Snipping Tool, Calculator, and Clock with Focus Sessions! Check for updates within the Store and check out these apps out and tell us what you believe!" Microsoft said within the release notes of today's build.
Plenty of fixes
Other than that, the new build is about fixes and increasing the performance of Windows 11, with Microsoft explaining within the changelog that glitches causing BSODs during modern standby are also addressed.
Microsoft has additionally confirmed that beta users could still struggle with more Taskbar and Start menu problems, as similar glitches have also been encountered in the last builds.
It appears the whole thing might be caused by the latest cumulative updates, so Microsoft says you need to just re-install the newest updates.
"We're investigating reports from Insiders within the Beta Channel where after upgrading to Windows 11, they aren't seeing the new Taskbar and the Start menu doesn't work. To workaround this if you are impacted, please try likely to Windows Update > Update history, uninstalling the latest cumulative update for Windows, and also the reinstall it by checking for updates," the company explained in the changelog of the latest build for insiders in the beta channel.
